Pousada D´Bro

Informal and friendly, the Pousada d’Bro is at once a great base from which to discover Lavras Novas and a great place just to hang back for a bit of rest and relaxation.

The main lodge houses reception and a wonderful great room with views on three sides, a cathedral ceiling with exposed beams, glazed cement floors, and a décor that combines rustic and modern with antique accents. There are various cozy sitting areas with comfortable sofas, one with a television, and one in front of the fireplace, perfect for those cold mountain nights. From here, a staircase descends to the upper-level guestrooms.

From the main entrance a stone path heads past the garden-level guest rooms, through the garden planted with native species and fruit trees, past the small chapel dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi, down to the heated pool surrounded by a stone patio with tables, benches, and lounge chairs overlooking the mountains.

To the other side is the game room and restaurant, where breakfast is served. The breakfast room features panoramic mountain views and a fountain planted with ferns.
