Trem da Vale ride
The path of our journey, which connects Ouro Preto and Mariana, includes 18 kilometres of history, culture and natural beauty. The whole architectural complex, which is part of the larger railway system, was revitalized in 2006 to receive visitors from all regions of Brazil and the world. Besides the train ride itself, the two stations in each city are attractive destinations and provide entertainment options and knowledge about the history of the cities and their railroads. Our tour provides total comfort and safety. After the train ride we will visit Mina da Passagem, one of the largest industrial gold mines in the world open to visitors. We conclude with a walk back to Ouro Preto.
The tour meets at the train station hall in Ouro Preto (Praça Cesário Alvim, s/n. – Barra). Trains will depart at the scheduled times. After arriving at the Mariana station, there will be 30 minutes to explore. This will be followed by the departure to the Mina da Passagem, for a visit to the gold mines. We conclude with a departure back to Ouro Preto.
